THERE will be a grand day out for all the family at Tendring Primary School’s Summer Fete this Saturday.

The school will be opening its doors from 12pm until 4pm to raise money for extra educational experiences and opportunities for its pupils.

Friends of Tendring School has organised the event at the School Road site with pupil’s preparing to showcase their singing, dancing and musical skills at the Tendring’s Got Talent fete finale.

With World Cup fever sweeping the nation, junior Gerrards can show off their football skills under the tutelage of former Colchester United captain Kem Izzet.

Youngsters can also try out an assault course, boot camp and archery and there will be performances by cheerleaders and a dance company, as well as the usual favourite fete stalls.

A spokesman for Friends of Tendring School said: “All the money raised from the summer fete goes to funding additional experiences and opportunities for the children.

“This enhances the education they receive and makes their school lives so amazing.”

Admission is 50p for adults and free for children.
