A NEW grand piano has been purchased to mark the 20th season of lunchtime concerts at St Mary’s Church in Frinton today.
The £19,440 Shiguru SK3 is primed and ready for the opening gala concert today, June 5, where the Bottrill Piano Duo will be performing music by Schubert, Debussy, Poulenc and Dvorak at 1.15pm.
A weekly concert lasting approximately 50 minutes will be held every Thursday at the same time until July 24.
Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection to be divided between The Lacey Trust for the education of young musicians in the area and church funds.
