A WITNESS appeal has been launched after a suspected assault on a traffic warden in Clacton.

The male parking enforcement officer was involved in a dispute with another man in Station Road near Barclays bank.

He was not injured but said he was assaulted by the man.

It happened at about 11.45am on Saturday.

Police interviewed a 32 year old man in connection with the incident but need witnesses to come forward.

Anyone who saw the incident should contact Sergeant Julie Barker at Clacton police station on 101.
