A FUNDRAISER from Clacton completed two challenging runs for a children’s charity.
Keen runner Chris Cowlin took part in two events across one weekend to boost Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Chris has raised thousands of pounds for the charity over the years after it helped save the life of his sister Hayley, who suffered heart problems when she was just one week old.
He started by taking part in the Westminster Mile race – a one-mile run around London’s St James’s Park.
Chris was joined in the race by son Harry, 7, and daughter Aimee, 4. The trio completed the course in 13 minutes and 19 seconds.
He also took part in the BUPA London 10k the following day, completing the 6.2-mile run in 59 minutes and one second.
He added: “Great Ormond Street is such a fantastic cause and I’m looking forward to continuing to raise as much money as possible for them."
