A HAIRDRESSER has said she has loved appearing on popular TV show Gogglebox in the wake of it winning a Bafta.
Linda McGarry, 64, has become an unlikely star of the small screen along with her husband Pete, 63, and her son George Gilbey, 30.
The trio, who live in St Osyth, are constantly recognised on the streets for their roles in the programme, which Linda said was just a “hobby that exploded”.
They are one of 16 families from around the country that appear on Gogglebox, which films people watching and commenting on programmes they are watching on television.
Linda said: “We have absolutely loved it and we have met so many lovely people.
“You wouldn’t believe the people who like the show. I have had solicitors stop me in Marks and Spencer and children love it surprisingly.
“We get a bit shocked because we are just ordinary."
Gogglebox is on Channel 4 on Fridays at 9pm.
