A RAPE investigation has ended due to a lack of information.
Detectives responded to allegations a woman, aged in her forties, was attacked in a garden off London Road, Marks Tey, in the early hours of February 2.
A 28-year-old man from Clacton was arrested but has been released without charge.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Enquiries have now been completed, with officers unable to determine whether any offence was committed.
"As a result the man has been released from his bail and without charge.
"The investigation is now closed unless any new information comes to light."
