A COASTGUARD rescue team was called to Brightlingsea to help the victim of a suspected stroke.

The 85 year old woman suffered the suspected stroke by the waterfront just before 2pm on Sunday.

Clacton’s coastguards were sent to the scene to help Essex Ambulance paramedics. The woman was taken to Colchester General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
