A THEATRE group is celebrating after winning an award for best regional production of Calendar Girls.
Representatives from Clacton Amateur Dramatic Society attended a glitzy bash hosted by the National Operatic and Drama Association in Cambridgeshire last month where they took home the prize with more than 250 other societies in attendance.
Chairman Paul Welham said: “This was no mean achievement as many societies had put on the play during the period it was licensed for amateur production and to come out on top shows the level of talent Clacton has to offer on stage.”
