A FAMILY-run estate agent is expanding by taking over another long-running agency in Clacton.

Boydens, which has branches across north Essex, has now acquired John V Story estate agent, in Station Road.

Hugh Bidmead, who has been the face of John V Story for many years, said he will still be involved in the day to day running of the office.

Hugh Bidmead added: “This is a very exciting development for the business and will enable us to offer our customers an even better service in the years ahead.

“I am very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues at Boydens.

“They have a first class reputation and their experience and resources can only benefit what we are able to offer our customers here in Clacton.”

He said one of the benefits of the acquisition is the launch of a residential lettings service out of the John V Story office.
