STUDENTS and staff members from a Clacton school received a Healthy Schools award at a special ceremony.

Clacton County High School was awarded healthy school status by Essex County Council last year.

Representatives from Clacton attended a ceremony in Chelmsford last week to celebrate the accomplishment of those schools hitting the mark across the county.

A County High spokesman said: “The project is about encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyles.

“We are honoured to have been awarded Healthy School Status for the work we do within school to promote healthier lifestyles for all.”
