THE tale of a tormented former prisoner of war is set to be shown at Frinton’s community cinema.
Colin Firth stars in The Railway Man as Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who was held captive during the Second World War.
Years after the war ends, Lomax discovers the man responsible for torturing him is still alive and sets out to confront him.
Based on a true story, the film is an adaptation of Eric Lomax’s autobiography.
The film will be shown at McGrigor Hall as part of Frinton’s Cinema-on-Sea. There will be showings at 3pm and 7.30pm on Saturday May 24. Tickets cost £8.
