A TOP-rated Tendring school has been picked to help drive education standards forward in the area.
Tendring Technology College is one of just 500 schools across the country to be selected as a National Teaching School.
It has been given the prestigious title by the National College for Teaching and Leadership.
Schools selected to be National Teaching Schools are all rated outstanding by education watchdogs Ofsted.
They work in partnership with other schools to boost teaching and standards.
They also make sure the most talented school leaders are spotted and supported so they can go on to become top headteachers.
Tendring Technology College principal Caroline Haynes said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this accolade.
“This, coupled with our recent Ofsted Outstanding award, means that it has been a momentous year for us.
“We look forward to working in close partnership with local schools and sharing the very best practice that exists.
“Our aim is to help ensure that all children in the area enjoy and achieve at their school.”
Tendring staff will now be given an induction by the National College for Teaching and Leadership to help them in their new role.
