Walton: Free swimming for charity Easter eggs donations
10:30am Tuesday 15th April 2014 in News
A DONATION eggstravaganza has been set up to brighten the Easter period for children on a hospital ward.
Special swimming sessions will be run at the pool in Walton next week for people to donate Easter eggs.
People who donate an egg will get a free swim at the pool, and the donated eggs will be collected up and donated to youngsters on Colchester Hospital Children’s Ward for Easter.
The special donation sessions will run on April 19 and 20 between 11am and 5pm.
Tendring Council facility manager Steve Ham said: “It’s a chance to come along and have a free swim at the pool and also give an Easter egg to those youngsters who are spending some time at the hospital and help to cheer them up.”
