A new children’s play area on Clacton seafront has been given the go-ahead.
Tendring Council approved the scheme which includes play equipment in the shape of a helter-skelter and a boat.
The new play area will be on West Greensward, next to Marine Parade West, opposite Clacton Bowl Club.
The play area should be open in time by the start of the school summer holidays.
An original scheme was withdrawn after objections from local residents.
