AN elderly driver was taken to hospital after crashing into two stationary cars in Frinton.

A silver Ford Mondeo crashed into a stationary Mercedes E350 and a beige Toyota Yaris, just before 11am.

It happened in Queen Street, just off Connaught Avenue, and a section of the road was blocked off after the incident for more than an hour.

Traffic was backed up along Pork Lane while the scene was examined by officers.
