GARDENING volunteers in Walton are appealing for residents to open up their gardens to the public for a vital fundraiser.
Walton in Bloom organisers set up floral displays around the town every year to brighten it up for residents and tourists.
The group needs to raise £6,000 to fund this year’s display.
They are appealing for support for their next fundraiser, the annual Walton Open Gardens event.
It includes Walton residents opening their front or back gardens to the public to make up a trail around the town.
Last year the event raised more than £1,300 and organisers want to top that total this time.
The event will take place on the weekend of June 21 and 22.
