MORE than 100 jobseekers have now had the chance to brush up their interview skills by going in front of an employer’s panel.
The scheme – which is being run by Tendring Council and Jobcentre Plus – aims to prepare people in the district for when a real job opportunity comes along.
They have now staged 12 mock panels in Clacton with the support of businesses.
Mick Page, leader of the council, said: “It is difficult at the moment and some people just need that break to get them into work.
“Hopefully the experience of a mock interview may just make all the difference to them and prepare them better for when there is a job at stake.”
Anyone interested in getting involved on the employer panel should contact Graham Vine on 01255 686352 or email gvine@tendringdc.gov.uk.
