A WOMAN has been left shaken following a knifepoint robbery at a field in Clacton.

The 26-year-old woman was targeted as she was walking her dogs through fields off the Cann Hall estate.

The incident happened at about 5.15pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “She was walking her dogs when she noticed a man and woman.

“Moments later she was approached by the man who demanded ‘give me everything you've got, empty your pockets’.

“He then produced a flick knife and the woman handed over her white iPhone 5, with a gold case.

“The victim did not receive any injuries but was obviously very shaken up by the whole incident.”

The suspect is described as white, aged around 24 years, 5ft 9ins, of a medium build with very fair skin. He had fair eyebrows with square shaped, short front teeth and a “nasty” red spot around his mouth.

He was wearing a black woolly hat, a black ribbed cardigan and black padded zip-up body warmer with horizontal stitching and dark jeans. The knife he carried is described as a flick knife with a black boxed style handle.

The woman he was with is described as white around 5ft 4ins tall and of average or slim build. She was in her early 20s, with long dark, elbow length straight hair. She was wearing a green waist length jacket and carried a cream bag with a long shoulder strap.

Det Con Louise Nellist, from Clacton CID, appealed for anyone who has been offered the phone or who recognises the description of the suspects or the knife to come forward.

Anyone with information should call police 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
