A STREET dance starlet from Kirby Cross clinched a new haul of trophies after dazzling in a major competition.
Young dance star Anni Wood, ten, travelled to take part in the national street dance championships in Stoke-on-Trent.
She entered the solo category, managing an impressive fourth-place finish while up against nearly 100 other youngsters.
Anni’s team from Smooth Grooves Dance School then clinched third place while competing against eight other teams.
But she saved the best for last, becoming a national champion with her dance partner Billie-Jo Probart by winning the top prize in the under-ten street pairs competition.
The two girls from Tendring blew away competition from 80 other pairs to win gold.
Anni’s mum Traci Wood said: “She just amazes us every time she gets out on the dance floor. The whole family is so proud of her.”
Anni is also an Essex street dance champion after triumphing in a regional competition last year.
