AN event will be held to commemorate the birth of pirate radio off the Walton coast.
Tony Haggis has organised the celebration to mark 50 years since the launch of Radio Caroline.
He said: “This is the birthplace of it all and I want people to remember that part of our heritage.”
The birthday celebration will take place in Walton tomorrow (March 28) from 10.30am, and will include live bands playing 60s music, refreshments, stalls and fireworks from the end of the pier.
Pirate radio DJs and personalities have been invited to help celebrate the occasion and everyone is welcome to join the fun day.
