A PROJECT which has seen joint patrols by police and council staff has been given a national award.
The patrols, which take place around the streets of Clacton, were recognised in the British Parking Awards 2014 held in London.
The initiative has been hailed as a success by helping to reduce anti-social behaviour in the town.
The pilot scheme was extended for six months in December.
