A CLACTON nurse was handed a top award for going above and beyond in her care home work.
Dobrinka Gancheva was named Nurse of the Year at the annual Elder Homes Group Care Awards.
She has worked at Edensor Care Centre in Clacton for 12 years and was described as “epitomising what being a nurse is all about”.
Alison Messenger, Director at Elder Homes Group, said: “Her dedication to the home goes above and beyond her caring role. She helps out when and wherever needed.”
The annual awards celebrate the best staff members working within the care group over the last year.
