PLANS to knock down a house and build three new ones in Great Bentley have been given the green light.
Blueprints were approved by Tendring Council’s planning committee following a site visit to the land at The Green.
Concerns were raised on the visit about highway safety, inadequate visibility splays and a poor layout, but Tim Snow, agent for Haynes Building and Development, took on board the issues, went back to the drawing board and made some last minute adjustments before the meeting on Tuesday.
The changes covered the concerns of Great Bentley Parish Council and the application received unanimous approval.
Permission has now been given to demolish the existing single storey building known as The Corner Cottage and build three properties on the partly developed site on the eastern side of Heckford Road.
