A WIND turbine more than 100 metres in height could be built on land near Great Bentley.
Renewable energy company RES wants to put up the High Barns Wind Turbine between Frating Abbey Farm Road and Plough Road, north-west of Aingers Green.
The 370ft-high structure could generate enough electricity to power 1,000 homes.
The company plans to put in a formal planning application to Tendring Council this spring.
It has already written to nearly 3,500 homes and businesses close to the site inviting them to an exhibition.
The event is on Tuesday, March 11, at Great Bentley Village Hall from 2pm to 8pm where a map and photo montage will be on display.
