AN open space at a housing estate in Clacton that has attracted trouble is to be taken on by Tendring Council.
The authority will take on the site in Harpers Way from Bloor Homes, which developed the properties.
The council said there have been issues of antisocial behaviour at the site since the estate was first occupied and the council said it will be looking to put in measures to minimise any problems.
Mick Page, council leader, said: “This land has been a bone of contention for some time now and we need to sort this out.”
Paul Honeywood, cabinet member for housing, added that a number of meetings had taken place concerning the site and that the council is working with those involved to solve the problems.
