A NEW timber boardwalk is to be built at a popular country park in Holland-on-Sea.
The walkway also provides a raised platform for nature lovers at Holland Haven Country Park, which is run by Tendring Council.
The scheme will take around three weeks to complete.
Council environment boss Nick Turner said the boardwalk will give unobstructed views across the picturesque landscape of the country park and Frinton Golf Course.
“Holland Haven Country Park consists of 100 acres of unspoilt scenic coastline and is a popular local attraction,” he said.
“It is located between Clacton and Frinton, is ideal for bird-watching and this new boardwalk will offer a welcome addition to facilities at the site.”
The site of special scientific interest is open all year round and already has bird hides and picnic facilities.
