Part of pub could be turned into bookies

PART of a pub in Clacton could be turned into a bookies.

William Hill wants permission for a new shop front as part of plans to turn a section of the Carlton, in Rosemary Road, into a betting shop.

It would be separate from the pub which will continue to trade.

A decision is expected from Tendring Council by April 10.
