VILLAGERS are enjoying a double celebration.
Youngsters in Alresford can now try out their moves at a new skate park which has opened behind the village hall, in Ford Lane.
Visitors are now also welcomed with signs informing them Alresford won Essex Village of the Year 2012 and was also crowned Best Kept Village in the county last year.
Parish council chairman Ernie Osborne said: “It has been an astonishing two years for the village of Alresford, the residents have achieved so much.
“Alresford is recognized across the county as being a very special place to live.
“We have had some challenges as well, but we know the same spirit which helped win our village prestigious awards will help us overcome the objectives for the future.”
