A NEW club in Clacton for people with learning disabilities held a special Valentine’s Day event for members.
The Gateway Club was started in Clacton at the end of last year and has been building up its membership since then.
Bosses put together a special Valentine’s themed night as a special treat, putting a new twist on the club’s normal activities.
More than 30 members made heart-shaped biscuits and took part in a specially devised match making game, as well as enjoying a disco and raffle.
Organiser Sarah Keeble said: “It was a great night and everyone really enjoyed it.
“The club is important because it gives people with a broad range of learning disabilities to do something fun and designed for them."
It runs every Thursday evening at the Adult Education Centre in St Osyth Road, Clacton, 6.30-9pm.
