SIX homes in Frinton and Kirby Cross have been hit by burglars in the last two weeks.
Over the two-week span houses in Wimborne Gardens, Chapel Lane, Elm Grove and Sycamore Way have all been raided.
And police officers are appealing for residents in the area to report anything suspicious and catch the crooks responsible.
David Gillies, Tendring Crime Prevention Officer said: “Six may not sound like too many but for this area it is a sharp increase on what we might expect to see.
“We want to stop this now before anyone else becomes a victim in this spate."
People can also contact Mr Gillies at Clacton police station by calling 101 for crime prevention advice, or visit Parker’s Nursery in Kirby Cross where a garden has been mocked up to model safeguarding equipment and techniques.
