A SCHOOL concert fundraiser organised by two students raised a massive fundraising for a vital hospital unit.
Clacton County High School year 11 girls Star Wood and Tayla Maddox staged the extravaganza.
It was set up to boost the Rosemary Suite – a bereavement centre attached to Colchester Hospital maternity unit.
The youngsters were inspired to help the centre after a teacher at the high school lost a loved one and was supported staff at the suite.
Star and Tayla persuaded fellow students and even teachers to take to the stage with a variety of different acts to entertain a packed crowd.
And the girls easily surpassed their fundraising target, raking in more than £1,800.
All the cash was raised through ticket sales and a huge raffle.
