AN undercover area on Walton seafront could be set for a £20,000 revamp.
Tendring Council officers have created a list of potential improvements to The Colonnade in Walton.
It includes a new weather-proof paint job, new wooden seat tops and paving slabs for the floor, as well as free-standing palms and planters to brighten the area.
The district council submitted the list to Frinton and Walton Town Council to get feedback on the project.
And town councillors backed the plans, even pledging £5,000 from their own coffers to help push them forward.
The total for the paint and paving work will come to about £20,000.
Tendring Council will now decide whether to approve the scheme from its budget.
