NURSERY youngsters enjoyed a pyjama day to raise cash for a good cause.
Children at Willow Tree Nursery in Clacton took part in the special day-long fundraiser to boost the British Heart Foundation.
They turned up in their PJs and were treated to a cooked breakfast, as well as enjoying games and a cinema room throughout the day.
The event was organised by nursery practitioner Lily Watson, who is part of a group of friends raising money for the heart foundation in memory of David Gardiner.
David – the father of Lily’s friend Rebecca – died of a heart condition while training for a British Heart Foundation event.
His death inspired Rebecca and her friends to start fundraising.
They will run the London Marathon in April, and Lily organised the nursery PJ day to boost the funds.
The event raised a grand total topping the £400 mark through parent donations.
Nursery boss Brenda Dearsley said: “It is a cause very close to Lily and her friends and it was great for our children here to get involved in the effort.
“It was a lot of fun and the children thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as raising money for a great cause.”
