AN emergency plan will be put in place to help residents in Frinton, Walton and the surrounding villages prepare for the worst.

The area currently has no plan in place for emergency situations such as serious flooding or heavy snowfall.

But Frinton and Walton Town Council clerk Myrna Liles has started to create a plan.

It will map out how the town council should respond and support residents in an emergency, linking in with Tendring Council’s plan.

The plan is now well underway, utilising the local knowledge of the councillors to devise steps to deal with extreme situations.
