THIEVES caused flooding after ripping out two boilers from a flat in Jaywick.

Crooks targeted premises above an empty shop in Meadow Way, near the junction of Broadway, overnight on Sunday.

Det Con Bernadette Lord, of Clacton CID, said: "The removal of these combi boilers caused substantial water damage to the flat and the shop below.”

Police have appealed for information.
