TOURISM bosses will be discussing plans to attract more vistiors to Tendring’s coastline this summer.

The tourism trade brings in £1million a day to Tendring during the course of the year.

The meeting, which will take place at Clacton Town Hall on March 13, will bring the main players of the tourism sector together to discuss their plans for the summer.

Alan Goggin, cabinet member for tourism, said: “We all know just how important the tourism industry is to Tendring and only by working together can we expand the offer to visitors.

“Ever since I took on this role I have made it clear that I want to hear from those involved and I have promised to listen to what they have to say.

“The meeting on March 13 will be a chance to share views on the 2013 season and look ahead to the coming season. I hope people will take the time to come along and it is open to all.”

A full agenda will be put out by Tendring Council nearer to the time of the meeting which will be held from 12pm to 2pm in the Essex Hall.

Anyone from the tourism sector who wants to attend the meeting should confirm by emailing events@tendringdc.gov.uk no later than March 7.
