BUSINESSES at an industrial estate in Clacton will be able to enjoy faster broadband speeds from next month.

Marlow-based MLL Telecom are working with Tendring Council to deliver superfast broadband to the area.

It is part of a scheme to help rural businesses suffering from slow internet connections.

Clacton’s Gorse Lane industrial estate will now benefit from speeds up to 40Mbps.

The first phase of works saw free WiFi installed along the seafront during last year’s Clacton Airshow.

MLL Telecom's David Pinnington said: “We are committed to delivering local connectivity solutions to rural areas of the UK such as Tendring currently without widespread superfast broadband.

“This will help them to be competitive in today’s digital economy.”

He said plans were in the pipeline to increase speeds in residential areas in the coming months.
