DEATH rates at Colchester Hospitals remain lower than last year.
The crude mortality rate - the number of people who die at in the hospitals - is 10 per cent down on the previous year.
Outgoing interim chief executive Sue Barnett told a Council of Governors meeting last week the C-Difficile rate was also on trajectory for the trust.
She added the SHMI mortality rate, which sparked scrutiny of the trust under the Keogh Review, remained above average but had fallen slightly.
