MORE than 150 residents got their antiques and collectibles valued at a free event run by a firm of top auctioneers at Clacton’s Princes Theatre.
People filled into the Essex Hall to seek the value of their treasures.
Lockdales Auctioneers from Martlesham Heath, Suffolk, had experts on hand to give free valuations for four hours.
Lockdales is well-known for selling original works by cartoonist Giles, who was connected with Ipswich, and have conducted valuations all over the country.
Melissa Leek, the council’s general theatre manager, said: “This is a great way to bring new people into the theatre and such an interesting event.
“Once again the event was a success with the experts busy from start to finish and we look forward to the next event at the Princes soon.”
