An elderly woman has been left with a suspected broken hip after being knocked to the ground in a robbery.
The woman, in her 70s, was attacked in Golf Green Road, Jaywick at about 2.30pm on Saturday and was pushed to the ground as her bag was taken.
The victim was taken to hospital and remains there.
Officers are appealing for help to find the victim's bag, which is described as cream and made of woven material.
Two men, both aged 20 and from Clacton, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
They remain in police custody.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery.
