HEALTH bosses are urging patients to avoid A&E this weekend as a surge in admissions is expected.
The North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group is warning of an increase in the number of visits to the department which usually happens after the New Year.
Non-emergency patients are urged to phone 111 and use walk-in centres to avoid adding to the pressure on the hospital’s emergency department.
