A NEW bid to build new homes on an old allotment site has been given the go-ahead by councillors.
Frinton and Walton Town Council previously agreed to a proposal to build 14 homes on a long-abandoned allotment in Walton.
They have now also passed a new amended plan for the site. The new plan includes one less home and an adjusted layout.
It will now feature two two-storey houses and 11 bungalows on the plot, which runs behind Butchers Lane and borders Chamberlain Avenue.
The fate of the application will be decided by Tendring Council.
