ACADEMY youngsters from Clacton brought Shakespeare to life at a special festival.
Pupils from White Hall Academy took part in the Shakespeare School’s Festival at the Lakeside Theatre in Colchester.
The Clacton youngsters dazzled their audience with a performance of Twelfth Night.
The festival is a nationwide annual event designed to get youngsters interested in Shakespeare.
Year six teacher Kate Alliston said: “The performance was absolutely fantastic. We were so proud of the pupils.
“We got lots of good feedback and the organisers were full of praise. Our children were performing at the festival with much older children from other schools and more than held their own.
“The children really brought their characters to life. We did lots of work together helping them understand the Shakespeare language and they performed it brilliantly."
