Church hall demolition plans go under microscope

PROPOSALS to demolish a church hall will be discussed tonight.

The Chelmsford Diocese wants to knock down St James’ Church hall and replace it with four homes and a new vicarage.

Brightlingsea Town Council’s planning committee will debate the plans at a public meeting at the council offices, Victoria Place, at 7.30pm.

The final decision rests with Tendring Council.
