A SCHOOL has unveiled a new area to boost learning and development.
Teachers at Hamford Primary Academy in Walton designed the Learning Jungle, and it has now been created.
The outside area features four zones each helping pupils in a different area, including Number Land and Artist’s Square.
It also includes a reader’s cottage – donated by Frinton Rotary Club – and a mini Hamford Theatre area complete with a stage and puppets.
The new area was unveiled by Frinton Rotary Club president Chris Opperman.
Hamford’s early years leader Carole Morgan was the driving force behind the project.
She said: “Much thought has gone into designing this outside area. We set up different activities outside everyday and see this area as an extension of our classroom.
“It is a safe and contained environment that gives the Early Years team opportunity to observe their interests and plan for their development.”
