COMMUNITY leaders are welcoming a move that could see land sold for a much-needed new GP surgery in Holland-on-Sea.
A new surgery is needed to replace the overcrowded Frinton Road Medical Practice.
Tendring Council has confirmed that its valuers have agreed on the value of the site.
But it is not thought that any offer has yet been made for the land by health bosses.
The new surgery would cater for 6,000 patients and is expected to cost between £1.5million and £2million.
But the NHS has yet to allocate funding towards any scheme.
