A CHIP shop boss has thrown his support behind a fundraiser for a heart condition charity.
Clacton mum Anne-Marie Ingram has organised a major event to boost the coffers of The Cardiomyopathy Association.
The event at FC Clacton’s Rush Green Bowl football ground will take place on Monday December 2, and include an auction, raffle, tombola and a mass of stalls to raise money.
Anne-Marie’s 12-year-old son Bryndon carries the cardiomyopathy gene, while his dad, two uncles, grandfather and three cousins all suffer from the condition.
And Pier Avenue Fish and Chip boss Tony Byrne has moved to support the charity bid with a special promotion.
On the week of the event – starting on December 2 – 50p will be donated to the charity for every portion of chips purchased at his shop.
