Great Holland: Councillor offers reward after "scumbag" crook van raid
12:00pm Friday 1st November 2013 in News
A FURIOUS business owner has offered a reward after “scumbag” crooks raided his van and stole equipment worth £1,000.
The thieves smashed their way into a van belonging to Great Holland business owner and councillor Chris Keston.
They grabbed a cordless drill, a new steel chainsaw and a new hedgetrimmer before being disturbed in the act and fleeing from the scene towards Kirby Way.
It happened in Main Road, Great Holland, just before 10pm on Tuesday October 22.
Chris said: “We work seven days a week only for people to take our equipment like this. I think these people are scumbags, the lowest of the low.”
Chris uses the van for his landscaping, building and maintenance company, Keston Services.
And the councillor is offering a £500 reward for any information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the culprits.
Anyone with information can contact Chris on 07834 373187 or Essex Police on 101.
