Train operator apologises following delays

TRAIN services across Tendring have been restored to normal following Monday’s disruptions.
Services were disrupted on Monday and Tuesday after 80mph winds hit the rail network.
Greater Anglia said it has worked closely with Network Rail to ensure that the infrastructure across the Greater Anglia network was available as quickly as possible.
A spokesman said: “It has been a difficult task due to the number of fallen trees, approximately 230, and four major de-wirements.
“We are aware that our performance over the last two days has fallen short of your expectations but we’d like to reassure you that we have been doing all we can to return the service to normal.”
