Ready, Teddy, Go helping special needs children
4:27pm Wednesday 23rd October 2013 in News
A MUM of three who started her own baby and toddler gym a year ago is now set to help children with special needs.
Linda Henwood set up Ready Teddy Go 4Kids in Clacton after finding there were no pre-school gymnastic clubs for her youngest daughter to go too.
After leaving her job as a special needs teaching assistant she started her own group, which now has sessions at Space Kingdom at the Gorse Lane Industrial Estate, the Brotherhood Hall in St Osyth Road, Clacton, and Little Clacton Village Hall.
In the last few months 32-year-old Linda has also begun working in partnership with Barnardo’s Children's Centres to provide a session for children with additional needs.
A colourful obstacle course is part of the club, which is aimed at physical development of children particularly with co-ordination and balance.
Children also learn social skills.
